Care & Sizing

Ether Eleven pieces are made from solid sterling silver .925, natural stones, and pearls. With basic care they will last for generations. This guide covers how to keep them at their best and how to find your size.

Caring for sterling silver

Sterling silver naturally darkens over time as it reacts with air. Wearing your jewelry regularly slows this process. After wear, wipe the piece with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place, ideally in a closed pouch or box away from humidity. A standard silver polishing cloth restores shine to polished surfaces.

Keep silver away from chlorine, sulfur springs, perfumes, lotions, and household cleaning agents. Remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, or exercise.

Oxidized finishes

Many of our designs use a deliberately darkened, oxidized finish to bring out depth and texture. This finish is intentional. Do not use silver dip solutions or polish the recessed areas aggressively, as this will strip the dark patina. If an oxidized piece needs cleaning, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Stones and pearls

Natural stones and pearls are more delicate than metal. Keep beaded and pearl pieces away from water, perfumes, and chemicals, and put them on after applying lotions or fragrance. Clean them with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let them dry completely before storing.

Macrame bracelets

Our beaded macrame bracelets close with an adjustable sliding clasp and fit most wrists. Keep the wax cord dry; if it gets wet, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat.

Ring sizing

If you are unsure of your ring size, print our ring sizer and follow the instructions. Most of our rings can be made in other sizes upon request: contact us with the design you want and your size.
